Weird: The Al Yankovic Story

Stars: Diedrich Bader, Daniel Radcliffe, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Richard Aaron Anderson

Daniel Radcliffe plays satirical version of musician Weird Al Yankovic, a sheltered kid whose love for the accordion and goofy lyrics clashes with his fathers demand for a normal life. With help from oddball mentor Dr. Demento and the attention of pop star Madonna, his parody songs explode into fame, turning him into a swaggering sex symbol with a wildly exaggerated rock star lifestyle. The movie sends up serious music biopics with over the top scenes, fast jokes, and a playful tone that treats every twist of Als career as bigger, stranger, and funnier than reality.
