Jill is a young pastry chef in San Francisco, still reeling from the loss of her sister Isabelle. To feel close to her, she keeps calling Isabelle's old phone, leaving long, messy voicemails about kitchen disasters, bad dates, and the strange joy and pain of growing up without her best friend. She does not know the number now belongs to Wes, a real estate agent in Austin, who slowly pieces together her life from each confession. Their unseen connection turns her private messages into the start of an offbeat, modern romance, blending sharp humor with honest grief and the hope of finding someone who truly listens.
