To Leslie

In West Texas, a hard-drinking single mother who once won the lottery now drifts between bars, motels, and broken relationships. Broke and estranged from her son, she returns to her dusty hometown, where most people remember only the damage she left behind. A weary motel clerk offers her a small job and a fragile bit of trust, giving her one last chance to sober up and stand on her own feet. The story follows her shaky steps toward accountability and dignity, steeped in country music bars, cheap rooms, and the quiet kindness of strangers.
