On a single day in Gaza, Red Crescent dispatchers answer a call from a six-year-old girl trapped alone in her family’s car under military fire. The story unfolds almost entirely inside the cramped emergency office, as volunteers stay on the line with her, trying to keep her calm while they fight through rules, checkpoints and confusion to send an ambulance.
