Set in 1977 Brazil under a fading military dictatorship, the story follows Marcelo, a former technology teacher living under an alias as he arrives in Recife during carnival. On the run from powerful enemies and quietly searching for his young son, he hopes the coastal city might offer safety. Instead he finds streets crowded with masks, music, informants and hired guns, where every bar, apartment and back alley seems wired with secrets. The tone mixes slow burning suspense, political danger and darkly playful humor, turning his daily errands, friendships and flirtations into tense games of identity and trust.
