Set in the Viking Age, the story follows Amleth, a prince who escapes after his father, a warlike king, is murdered by his power-hungry uncle. Years later, he has become a berserker raider, haunted by visions and a childhood vow that drives him toward Iceland and a slave camp ruled by the usurper. Along the way he meets Olga, a cunning healer whose bond with him adds tenderness and eerie magic to the harsh world of blood, mud, and fire. The tone is grim, intense, and mythic, mixing brutal combat with strange rituals and supernatural hints of fate and prophecy.
