The Last Stop in Yuma County

2023, 1h 30min, Crime, Drama, Thriller

Directors: Francis Galluppi

Stars: Jim Cummings, Faizon Love, Jocelin Donahue

Set in the 1970s Arizona desert, a traveling knife salesman is stuck at a lonely gas station and diner waiting for the fuel truck. When two bank robbers on the run stop in, the place quietly becomes a hostage powder keg, with the waitress, owner and stranded customers forced to sit with danger that could erupt at any moment. The story stays mostly in this cramped rest stop, turning small talk, refills and crossed glances into a slow-burn crime thriller with western flavor, sharp tension and flashes of dark, dry humor as everyone weighs survival against doing the right thing.
