Set during the war in Afghanistan, the story follows US Army Sergeant John Kinley and local interpreter Ahmed, whose fragile working relationship turns into a fierce bond after a brutal ambush leaves them alone and desperate. Ahmed risks everything to drag the badly wounded soldier across hostile terrain, hunted by enemy fighters and betrayed promises. Back home, Kinley struggles with the weight of that sacrifice and the bureaucracy that leaves his savior exposed, driving a grounded war thriller about loyalty, moral obligation, and the cost of survival.
