In the last days of World War II, a weary former commando roams the empty Lapland wilderness with his horse and dog, hunting for gold far from the front. When he finally strikes a rich vein and sets off toward town, he crosses paths with a retreating Nazi convoy on a scorched-earth march through northern Finland. Their brutal officer decides the treasure should be his, forcing the prospector into a fierce, stripped-down fight for survival that feels grim, bloody, and darkly comic all at once.
