Sharmaji Namkeen

B. G. Sharma is a 58-year-old widower in West Delhi whose tidy routine collapses when the company he has served for decades suddenly lets him go. Restless and unsure how to fill his days, he fusses over his two grown sons yet keeps bumping into their boundaries. The one place he feels truly alive is the kitchen, where his simple home recipes reveal an unexpected flair. That gift pulls him into a spirited kitty group of middle-class women, whose chatter, problems and parties open doors he never planned to walk through. The story plays as a warm, food soaked comedy drama about retirement blues, loneliness, pride and the joy of finding late life purpose, carried by gentle humor, small domestic conflicts and affectionate Delhi details.
