Set during the 1972 Munich Olympics, this historical thriller follows ABC Sports producers Geoff Mason and his demanding boss Roone Arledge as a normal day of covering races and medals is shattered by reports of gunshots in the Olympic village. With translator Marianne Gebhardt and reporter Peter Jennings feeding fragments of news from the scene, the crew must turn a sports show into rolling coverage of a hostage crisis, all from a cramped control room. As the cameras stay live and a global audience watches, tension builds over unconfirmed rumors, technical failures, and the team's struggle to balance human empathy with the rules of television.
