Sentimental Value

After their mother’s death, Nora and Agnes return to the old Oslo family home, where their estranged father Gustav, once a celebrated film director, suddenly appears with a new project. He wants to shoot an autobiographical movie in the house, casting Nora, a stage actress plagued by anxiety, as a version of his own mother. When she hesitates, he brings in Rachel, an eager young American star, stirring jealousy, resentment, and curiosity. The story unfolds as a quiet, emotionally charged drama about grief, artistic ambition, and the uneasy way past and present collide inside one complicated family.
