A former Army Ranger and struggling father, Jeffrey Manchester turns to robbing fast food restaurants by cutting through their roofs, earning a strange nickname in the process. After a long prison sentence, he escapes and secretly moves into a hidden space inside a Toys R Us, living off candy and watching the staff from the shadows. As he grows close to Leigh, a divorced store employee active in her church, his double life starts to crack. The film mixes offbeat crime, romantic tension, and bittersweet humor as Jeffrey tries to balance charm, guilt, and the hope of starting over.
