Rebel Ridge

African American Marine veteran Terry Richmond rides into Shelby Springs, Louisiana, with his life savings and a simple goal: bail his cousin out of jail and buy a work truck. When local officers ram his bike and seize his cash under a bogus civil forfeiture, he is dragged into a web of small‑town corruption run by charming but ruthless police chief Sandy Burnne. As Terry presses for justice, the town’s legal system closes ranks, leaving him to rely on his combat training, sharp mind, and an unlikely ally, court clerk Summer McBride. The film mixes tight, brutal action with tense courtroom maneuvering and dry, bitter humor, creating a grounded, angry thriller about power and control.
