Prey

In 1719 on the Northern Great Plains, Naru is a young Comanche woman trained as a healer who longs to prove herself as a hunter like her brother Taabe. When strange signs appear in the sky and animals are found brutally killed, she suspects a powerful new threat is moving through their land. The story follows her tribe as they explore the wilderness and clash with this unseen hunter, an alien creature armed with advanced weapons and a taste for sport. The tone mixes tense, creeping horror with raw, physical action and a focus on survival and courage.
