In a tense, near-future America, burned-out ex-revolutionary Bob lives off the grid with his sharp, self-reliant teenage daughter, Willa. Sixteen years after walking away from the radical French 75 movement, he is trying to stay clean and keep her out of trouble, haunted by the betrayals and violence that drove them into hiding. When his old nemesis, Colonel Lockjaw, reappears and Willa vanishes, Bob is forced back into a world of coded messages, paramilitary raids, and uneasy reunions with fellow rebels. The film mixes ferocious action, bleakly funny satire, and a bruised, emotional father–daughter story about how long the past can keep fighting.
