Grieving the loss of his mother and grandmother, Joe Scaravella sinks his savings into a small Staten Island restaurant where grandmothers from across Italy run the kitchen. Their strong personalities, fierce pride in their recipes and limited English make every shift chaotic but full of warmth. With loyal but nervous friend Bruno and neighbor Olivia, a former high school crush, by his side, Joe tries to turn the cozy spot into a living tribute. The story balances comforting food, culture clashes and messy family feelings in a gentle, bittersweet comedy-drama.
