Lee

Set during the years around World War II, the story follows American photographer Lee Miller as she trades a glamorous past for dangerous work as a war correspondent for Vogue. With fellow photojournalist David Scherman, she moves from liberated Paris into devastated Germany, documenting ruined cities, concentration camps and Hitler's private apartment. The tone is serious and immersive, focusing on her relentless pursuit of truth, her empathy for victims, and the heavy personal and psychological cost of witnessing war up close.
