In a small Scottish town in the 1980s, teenager John Davidson watches his promising life unravel when sudden tics and uncontrollable swearing mark the onset of Tourette syndrome. Misunderstood at school and at home, he faces bullying, shame and isolation in a world that treats him as a problem rather than a person. The film follows his struggle to stay hopeful, the unlikely friendship and kindness that give him a lifeline, and his slow discovery that speaking out about his condition can change not only his own future but the lives of others. The tone is raw, warm and quietly funny, mixing painful moments with tender, uplifting human connection.
