Fallen Leaves

In present day Helsinki, a supermarket worker named Ansa and a construction laborer Holappa drift through long shifts, cheap bars and lonely evenings. A chance meeting in a karaoke bar sparks a shy, awkward romance, but simple things keep getting in the way: lost phone numbers, mistaken addresses, low pay, drinking problems and an unexpected stray dog. The film balances dry, deadpan humor with gentle sadness, showing how small acts of kindness and stubborn hope can brighten a grey city and two tired lives.
