A fictionalised drama about Emily Brontë before fame, following her as a restless misfit in a strict Yorkshire household. Haunted by her mother's death and bound by expectations from her clergyman father and ambitious sister Charlotte, she escapes into wild moorland walks, secret writing and a risky attraction to local curate William Weightman. The film blends brooding gothic mystery with tender romance and family conflict, showing a young writer testing faith, desire and convention as she discovers the voice that will shape Wuthering Heights.
