In 1928, life at the grand country estate is shaken when a movie company arrives to shoot a silent film, bringing glamorous stars, noisy equipment, and new temptations upstairs and downstairs. At the same time, part of the family travels to the South of France to see a villa unexpectedly left to the sharp-tongued Dowager Countess, stirring old secrets and gentle scandal. The story balances light comedy, romance, and warm emotion as the household faces changing times while trying to protect tradition, their home, and one another.
