Set in a near future United States ripped apart by a second civil war, the story follows veteran photojournalist Lee and a small team of reporters on a dangerous road trip from New York to Washington, D.C. Embedded with military units, they cross battle lines, pass ruined towns and tense checkpoints, and push deeper into a country at war with itself. The film's tone is urgent and unsettling, focusing less on politics than on what it means to document violence at home, as the journalists balance survival, duty, and the cost of looking directly at chaos.
