The story follows chipmunks Chip and Dale living among cartoons and humans in modern Los Angeles, long after their old TV show is canceled. Chip now leads a quiet suburban life selling insurance, while Dale has had CGI surgery and spends his days working the nostalgia convention circuit. When a beloved former cast mate suddenly goes missing, the two estranged friends reunite and slip back into their detective roles to track down the truth. The tone mixes buddy comedy, fast-paced cartoon action, and playful pop culture jokes, keeping things light and adventurous as their unlikely comeback unfolds.
