In late 90s New York, former baseball standout Hank tends bar on the Lower East Side, trying to keep his life together with his girlfriend while nursing old regrets. When his punk rock neighbor Russ asks him to care for a scruffy cat, Hank's quiet routine explodes into a long night of beatings, gunshots, and frantic chases through the city. A hidden key linked to gangs, crooked cops, and a pile of cash turns him into a target, even though he has no idea what anyone wants from him. The story plays like a darkly funny crime thriller, mixing grim violence, panic, and absurd situations as an ordinary guy stumbles deeper into New York's underworld.
