Burning Days

A young prosecutor, Emre, is sent from the city to the small Turkish town of Yaniklar, already struggling with a severe water crisis and spreading sinkholes. Welcomed at first, he soon finds that every gesture of hospitality hides political calculations, and his first criminal investigation pulls him into the town’s bitter power games. As he grows closer to the outspoken owner of the local newspaper, gossip and suspicion turn the streets hostile, and choosing who to trust becomes dangerous. The story plays out as a slow-burning, sun-baked thriller about corruption, masculinity, and fear, with a tense, claustrophobic mood that matches the dry, collapsing landscape.
