Buddy

In 1999, a group of children with no memories live inside the bright, looping world of a kids show hosted by a huge orange unicorn with a purple heart on its chest. Their days are filled with songs, lessons and forced smiles in his wacky clubhouse, but a wrong move can turn the cheerful mascot cruel in an instant. When cracks begin to show and one child vanishes, the kids are pushed toward a dangerous quest for the legendary Diamond City. Outside this bizarre TV dimension, suburban mom Grace senses something deeply wrong and is drawn toward the show’s influence. The film mixes colorful, nostalgic visuals with mounting dread, offbeat humor and bizarre horror to create a twisted riff on children’s television.
