A Real Pain

On a group heritage tour through Poland, cousins David and Benji leave New York to trace the life of their recently deceased grandmother, a Holocaust survivor. David is a tense, settled family man, while Benji drifts through life with sharp humor and restless energy. As they visit her hometown, memorials, and former camps with strangers on the same bus, the trip turns into a funny, uneasy journey about grief, identity, and what it means to stay close to someone who keeps pulling away.
